Best food for Alzheimers

In honour of World Alzheimer’s Day, what are the best foods to keep your mind healthy?
We all know the benefits of the Mediterranean diet, but it seems the diet plentiful in fruit, leafy green vegetables, nuts and grains and olive oil and small amounts of poultry and fish won’t just keep our bodies healthy, but our minds too. A study by researchers at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago shows a diet plan they developed — appropriately called the MIND diet — may reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease by as much as 53 percent.

Here’s a recipe that combines all the best that Mediterranean cuisine offers: fish, olive oil and vegetables, caponata-style, Baked Fish with vegetables from the SoupedUp Kitchen. Made it? Snap a photo and hashtag it #soupeduprecipes. We love to see your creations on Instagram and Facebook!
