Although suffering from her own anxiety and fear of contracting the illness, Karen continuously made sure vulnerable residents had a clean environment, clean clothing and always did so with a reassuring smile on her face.
Since sharing her own experiences, she’s become the “equality champion and now educates the whole team on the importance of inclusion no matter what walk of life you are from”.
