Method

  1. Set oven to 180°C.
  2. Melt butter, sugar and milk in a large pot. Cool.
  3. Add sifted dry ingredients.
  4. Mix in baking soda (dissolved in a little extra milk) and vanilla.
  5. Mix well and place in a well-greased heart-shaped baking pan.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven 180°C for about 40 minutes.
  7. When cool, ice with chocolate icing and decorate with a Valentine’s Day theme.
