Method
- Set oven to 180°C.
- Melt butter, sugar and milk in a large pot. Cool.
- Add sifted dry ingredients.
- Mix in baking soda (dissolved in a little extra milk) and vanilla.
- Mix well and place in a well-greased heart-shaped baking pan.
- Bake in a moderate oven 180°C for about 40 minutes.
- When cool, ice with chocolate icing and decorate with a Valentine’s Day theme.
