Cheers to today’s #HLACHero Renee Manning from Peninsula Village – Umina Beach. Your colleagues want you to be recognised for your caring efforts with residents during the move into the new building.
When relocating residents in to the new building, one resident remained in the nursing home for a few days. During this time, Renee kept checking-in with the resident and took the time to sit and have a chat to make them feel less alone.
Not only did she provide comfort and someone to talk to, she made sure this resident still received their meals and drinks and wasn’t forgotten. Nothing was too much bother for Renee to make this resident feel at ease and reassured that she was cared about.
As Renee’s colleagues said, “Caring people like Renee are real heroes”.
