Butter, Plain, Salted dairyg120
Bread, From white flour, Commercial check labelglutenwheatdairyg300
Lemon, Raw  Juice and zestml45
Salt, sea  g15
Pepper, Black or white, Ground  g15

Method

  1. Warm sardines on a baking tray in moderate oven for 10-15 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil from the canned sardines, lemon juice and zest, salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Toast bread and spread with butter.
  4. Top with warm sardines, a drizzle of marinade and serve with lemon wedges.
