SoupedUp is thrilled to announce the judges for the 2021 Hospitality & Lifestyle Aged Care (HLAC) Awards, as the deadline for the unique awards program draws near.
Identified as leaders in their field, the judging panel includes:

“I’m delighted to again be included on the judging panel for the 2021 HLAC Awards” said Maria Said, CEO of Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia.
“I was blown away by the inspiring applications in the 2018 HLAC Awards, and after a tough year with the global pandemic, I’m looking forward to helping give back to hard-working aged care staff” Maria said.
The HLAC Awards recognises and rewards outstanding team members across catering, cleaning, laundry, and lifestyle services within aged care homes.
The program, run by SoupedUp, is an opportunity to say thanks to the hard-working and caring people in the aged care sector who have gone above and beyond during the past challenging year.

Kerri Lanchester, General Manager of Members Relations, Leading Age Services Australia
Kerri is the General Manager for Member Relations within Leading Age Services Australia (LASA). LASA is a national association for all providers of age services across residential care, home care, retirement living and seniors housing. LASA’s purpose is to enable high performing, respected and sustainable age services that support older Australians to age well by providing care, support and accommodation with quality, safety and compassion – always.
Within her national portfolio, Kerri has strategic oversight for Membership, Events and LASA’s Centre for Workforce Development & Innovation. Kerri has operated at senior levels in aged and community services for the past 28 years working across both not for profit and for the private sector. Kerri’s career has spanned strategic and operational leadership within the portfolios of home care, indigenous services, mental health, housing, homelessness and tenancy support, along with training and development.
Maria Said, CEO, Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia
Maria Said, a registered nurse, has been a member of Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA) since 1993. Her interest evolved when her second child was diagnosed with a potentially life threatening food allergy, asthma, eczema and allergic rhinitis in the early 1990s. She became national President of the organisation in 1999. Her role was initially voluntary however in 2004 she became a paid employee of the organisation. She has now worked as CEO of the organisation for more than 12years.
Daniela Torretta, Head of Aged Care Navigation, Care360
Daniella Torretta is an Aged Care specialist who runs the Care360 Navigation service. On a day-to-day basis, Daniela works with families to ensure they receive the best outcome for their loved one when moving into aged care. Having watched her own grandmother transition into aged care and knowing what an overwhelming, confusing, and emotional journey it was for the family to go through – Daniela’s genuine understanding and empathy along with her focus to help provide every Australian the confidence they are making the right decisions is what sets her apart from the rest.
